Strong participation marked the conference “Biomethane in Motion: Technology and Sustainability for Transport”, organized by Federmetano and Promotec on June 15, 2026, at Casa Autopromotec in Anzola dell’Emilia (Bologna). The event brought together institutions, companies, and industry stakeholders to discuss the role of biomethane in the decarbonization of transport and the importance of technological neutrality in the transition toward more sustainable mobility.
Among the speakers in the technical roundtable was Ecomotive Solutions, represented by its Managing Director, Giovanni Deregibus, who highlighted the need to accelerate Italy’s energy transition by leveraging technologies that are already available and capable of delivering tangible environmental benefits.
During the conference, particular emphasis was placed on biomethane’s contribution to reducing emissions in the transport sector, supported by a well-established refueling infrastructure and a large fleet of vehicles already operating throughout Italy.
In the outdoor exhibition area, Ecomotive Solutions showcased some of its latest biomethane conversion projects, including the Fiat Panda 1.0 Hybrid powered by biomethane, alongside other biomethane-fueled vehicles designed for both private and professional mobility applications.
The event confirmed the growing interest in sustainable and immediately deployable energy solutions capable of making a concrete contribution to the automotive sector’s decarbonization goals.
